Das Wolfszeit Festival fand erstmals 2007 in der ausverkauften Stadthalle Hollfeld in Bayern statt.
Seit 2009 ist das Festival ein Open Air und gastiert auf dem wunderschönen Waldgelände des Ferienland Crispendorf bei Schleiz in Thüringen.
Der Name "Wolfszeit " stammt aus der nordischen Mythologie
